We are flying from Canada to Lima, Peru, via first Denver, then IAH on a connected ticket. The Denver flight is scheduled to arrive just 30 minutes before the IAH flight to Peru. That seems very tight. Should we be concerned?
It is tight, but all you have to do in IAH is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hi, on July 17th I am going to fly from San Jose, Costa Rica to Minneapolis making a stop in IAH. The arrival flight is in IAH at 11:15 and the next flight to Minneapolis is at 12:50. Is that enough time to take the transfer OK? I am not US Citizen.
That is barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
Hi I will fly into IAH from DFW on AA. I have a separate ticket on Air NZ to Auckland departing at 2210. Given the flights are not linked, what is the latest I can land in IAH in order to get my flight to New Zealand? I hopw to book the AA flight soon based on your advice. Thx
I would want at least 3 hours to be safe. So arrive by 1910.
Since we are flying from Mexico to Houston then change planes to Boston on our return trip, I know that we will have to go through customs. But will we have to retrieve our bags at customs and then re-check them in Houston for the domestic portion of IAH to BOS?
Yes, you will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs, then re-check them immediately after at the re-check desk.
We are flying in from New York (LaGuardia) to Houston on United arriving at 7.05pm and leaving on Air NZ to Auckland at 9.15pm is 2 hours 10mins enough time to transfer.
Yes, that is enough time. If both flights are on the same reservation all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I am flying cancun to Auckland New Zealand via Houston. Will I have to collect and rent check my baggage?
Yes, you will.
How long would it take to walk from one side of the terminal to the other side where the tram between terminals is?
in B - probably less than 10 minutes. C could be up to 15 minutes.
Hi. I am flying United from VPS to IAH. Then on a separate ticket from IAH to Auckland New Zealand on Air NZ. After collecting my luggage at the domestic terminal how do i get to Air NZ check in at international terminal?
Thanks for your help.
You take the Subway Train (it runs outside security in an underground hallway)
Hi I am flying Air New Zealand to Houston then flying United Express to CHS on separate tickets. Which terminal do I go to to check my bags for United Express flight? Can I do it at United recheck after immigration or do I need to go to a different terminal? How long does it take to walk from terminal D/E to B? Thanks
You will likely depart from Terminal B. You have to take it your bags to a United check-in counter. You can take the subway train outside security from E to B. It should take about 15 minutes.
I am flying to Costa Rica from Boston with a 52 minute layover in IAH. Is 52 minutes enough time between flights to make it to the second leg? Both flights are United. Thank you!
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do on the way to Costa Rica is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
