I have a flight from MCI from Kansas city to ATL and then a 50 minute layover from ATL to Jamaica. Will I have enough time to get off the plane make it through customs and make my flight on time??
There is no US customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in Atlanta on your way to Jamaica is take the plane train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you will depart and board your plane. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
On Aug. 11 I'm flying Air France from Rome to ATL, arriving at 5:32pm. My connection to LAX via Air France departs at 7:02pm. Will I have to clear customs at ATL before going to LAX flight? If so, is 90 minutes enough time?
Air France does not fly from Rome to Atlanta or Atlanta to LAX. Both flights will be operated by Delta. Yes, in Atlanta, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security, and take the Plane Train to your departure gate. You have barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
Thanks for the thorough response. Much appreciated. We don't plan to check any bags on this trip. Will that significantly improve our chances of making the LAX flight?
Flying into Atlanta today from Costa Rica then onto canada. was told to go through immigration but then TSA security again. i only have one hour. do we go to same TSA as others where currently there is 3-4 hours wait? will miss my connection. or is it another security line only for connections?
There is a separate security line for international connections, but that is still a very difficult connection
Hi, We will be flying LAX to ATL for a connecting international flight to Dublin. Our layover is 55 mins and both flights are Delta. Aside from likely running to our gate, is this enough time for our checked bags to make it onto our next plane?
Yes, that should be enough time for both you and your bags.
