I am traveling from Abu Dhabi to Austin via etihad. I have a connecting flight via jetBlue (EY 8259). Do I have to change airports or check out baggages again? How long is it takes to change flights? Is it walkable distance? I have requested wheel chair as can't walk longer.
Since you pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Abu Dhabi, all you have to do is take the AIrTrain from Terminal 4 where you arrive to Terminal 5 and go through security. Nothing with your baggage.
Hi...i am flying from Minneapolis to new Delhi...i have a flight from Minneapolis to LGA (nyc) and then a flight from JFK (nyc) with a layover time of 3 hr 20min. Do I need to claim the baggage again at LGA? This is a connecting flight. And do I have enough time to reach and catch the flight from JFK?
Yes, you have yo claim your baggage at LaGuardia and take it with you to JFK to re-check it. You have barely enough time.
I arrive on AA flight @ 449 from Phoenix and traveling to London - flight leaves at 620 - is this enough time to transfer ? Can I check my bag all the way through to London? Do I have to go through security again and stand in lines as well? First time flying abroad and want to make sure I have ample time. Please advise.
JFK no longer has a Terminal 3. All AA flights are in Terminal 8. If both flights are on AA then your bags will be transferred and all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
I'm flying from LAS to JFK arriving at terminal 2 at 2:40 pm. Next flight is with airfrance, terminal 1 departing at 4:20 pm. Not booked together and no checked luggage. Will this be enough time?
Yes, that should be enough time.
Will be arriving on AA from Milan at 1:40 pm , and then transferring to a Delta flight, with a 2:57 pm departure; 1:17 minute layover; no checked luggage. Is this enough time to clear customs and make the connection? I have TSA pre check for the Delta flight?
That will depend on everything going absolutely perfectly. I wouldn't try it.
I'm arriving at JFK terminal 5 on a JetBlue flight arriving at 4:15 pm and have a connection on Qantas in terminal 7 at 6:10 pm. There's two of us and have 1 piece of checked luggage each. Is this enough time.? Not sure if Qantas has luggage arrangements with JetBlue.
That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. JetBlue and Qantas do not have an interline agreement so you'll have to claim your bags in T5, take them on the AirTrain to T7 and re-check them with Qantas.
I fly to JFK from MCO on jet blue (does not give arrival terminal) then out of terminal 1 on air china to PEK with 1hr50min between flights. Is this enough time?
You arrive in Terminal 5. Is it one reservation or two separate reservations? Do you have checked bags?
I believe 1 reservation. I didn't book the flights separately.
I only have a carry on
Then you should have enough time. Just take the AirTrain to Terminal 1 and go through security.
Reaching Terminal 5 by JetBlue around 09:30a.m. Have to collect baggages and shift them (total 5 pieces, including hand luggages) to Terminal 8 -to catch a Cathy Pacific flight to Honkcong departing at 2:55p.m. Though there is ample time,my concern is how to tar the baggages? Are trolleys available at Terminal 5. Will it be possible to shift them through Air train? Any other tips ?
Why would you "tar the baggages"??? Seriously, pack a foldable luggage cart in your baggage.
Were flying from PHL to JFK then to Heathrow. Looks like we land at terminal 2 JFK and depart from terminal 4. We have about 1 hour 15 minutes between the flights Flight into JFK is Delta, flight out of JFK is Virgin. What is the quickest way to get to terminal 4? Do we need to collect and re-check luggage at JFK? Thanks in advance
You don't have to do anything with your bags if both flights are on the same reservation. Just take the Delta shuttle bus inside security from T2 to T4.
Will 2 hours be enough time to transfer from JFK to sxm? I am coming from Vancouver, Canada.
What airlines are you flying?
Cathay pacific Yvr to jfk
JetBlue jfk to Sxm
With checked bags that's not realistically enough time. With no checked bags it's maybe barely possible.
