LGB Airport - Long Beach Airport ( Long Beach , CA )


Long Beach Airport LGB serves the densely populated area of Long Beach, California, and is presently one of the busiest airports of its size in the U.S. It also offers California's lowest airfares - recently quotes as being the 'most affordable airport in the U.S.'.  In early 2014 it had received three awards for 'Best Food & Beverage Program', for 'Transportation Project of the Year (2013) & for 'Terminal Preservation'.  Long Beach Airport is a leader in making its entire domain environmentally sustainable and has recently received the highest rating of 'green' Airports.

LGB Airport is between Los Angeles and Orange County, in southern California, accessible from  Interstate Hwy. 405 (San Diego Frwy) to the south, connecting west to  I-710 and east to I-605.

With five runways 1.3 million passengers in 2016* Long Beach Airport is served by  some regular and low-fare airlines, offering direct flights to many U.S. cities, with connections throughout the world.  *The passenger count between Jan. & June 2016 and June 2017 increased by 46.5 percent, and the June 2016 - June 2017 passenger count increased to 1.8 million.
 - The FAA started phased implementation of the 'SoCal Metroplex project', adding recently new approach procedures at Arrivals and Departures. 
 - Rental Car offices are at the Ground Transportation Center located directly across from the passenger Terminal.
