We arrive at LAX at 9:15am tomorrow in Southwest terminal. Our Hawaiian flight departs at 10am. We have carry-on luggage only. Is there any chance we will make the 10am flight?
Even with no checked bags I don't think you have a chance to walk all the way across the airport and get through security in time.
I will be flying via Southwest into LAX at 0750. Would I have enough time to book a flight out of LAX at 1000 via United? No checked bags.
Yes, that should be possible, especially if the Southwest flight is domestic.
I'm coming to Lax late Feb 2018 from Australia Qantas and heading to New Orleans flying with AA. Do I need to pick my bags up from baggage and take them to the domestic terminal? I'll have a 7yr old with me too. It says that my connecting flight is Terminal O. I am just confused about the baggage, customs and my connecting flight.
Thanks for your help.
If everything is on the same reservation then you arrive in the International Terminal, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and walk to your departure gate in Terminal 4 or Terminal 5.
My elderly parents are arriving on Scandinavian flight from Stockholm at 12:20 pm Feb 15 and need to connect to San Diego. Is it easier to fly with AA or United? Seeing that United is part of Star Alliance do they have a transfer check after customs? How much should they allow for the transfer?
Yes, if they fly United they could ask the SAS agent in Stockholm to tag their bag to their final destination and they should be able to do so, in which case they can leave their bags in the TBIT after they clear customs. However, if they don't want to bank on that AA's terminal is closer to the TBIT than United's, however, the flight to San Diego on AA will require departure from a remote terminal reached by bus, while the United flight will depart from a regular gate in Terminal 8. I would allow at least 2 hours for the transfer, preferably a little more.
Thank you.
I leave on Aeromexico at 1:15pm. If I book a United Express that arrives at 11am will that be enough time with no checked bags?
With no checked bags I think you can do it, but you'll have to hurry to Terminal 2.
We'll arrive at LAX from Papeete at 9:40 am on a Friday and have a Southwest flight at 12:15. After clearing Customs, will we be able to check our bag with Southwest at the transfer area? Will we have to go through security again for the Southwest flight?
You have to take your bags to Terminal 1 to re-check them with Southwest. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I am arriving from Kona at 9:15pm on United at terminal 7 or 8. Since I have two checked bags, where do I pick them up and have to check them in at Delta counter? Is that near terminal 1 & 2? Will I have enough time for a 10:45pm departure?
Delta check in is in Terminal 2 or 3. You claim your bags in Terminal 7. That is a very difficult connection but not impossible if everything goes perfectly.
Sorry Zap, I meant Terminal B.
How far is the walking distance ? I forgot to mention, will have one check luggage and with slightly mobility difficulty.
Any shuttle bus ? Thank you again.
What is this in reference to. There is a shuttle bus that runs between all terminals on the lower level but it is very slow.
We already booked a flight on Norwegian Airlines leaving LAX at 6:50pm leaving to Paris. We need to get from San Diego to LAX. We will not have checked bags.
There is one flight on American Eagle that arrives at 4:11pm. Is that enough time (2h 40m) to get to TBIT and go through security? I heard the Eagle shuttle takes half an hour.
Our other option is to take a United Express that arrives at 3:30pm. But that terminal is farther from TBIT but then again (3h 20m) seems like a long lay over.
What do you recommend?
Either should work. I would personally book the United flight just so you don't have to deal with the remote terminal.
Plan to arrive in LAX by Delta airline at 11:09am. Connecting to ANA at 12:45Ppm. Should be have checked baggage. Do I have enough time for this connection? Also, please advise any shuttle for different terminal connection? Thanks in advance.
You arrive in Terminal 2 or 3 and depart from the International Terminal. With checked baggage you barely have enough time as you will have to claim it, then take it to the International Terminal to re-check it with ANA, and then go through security. I would not book this connection if you haven't already.
Thanks for those useful information. I'll try to re-plan it.
