We are a group arriving T-3 Aer Lingus ...where would we direct driver to meet us.as we would have cleared customs in Dublin?
At FCO, the Arrivals level of Terminal 3 has 5 exit doors. The Arrivals hall offers food & drink establishments and shops, Information desks, escalators to the baggage claim area with lost & found counters. Take a pick for your meet-up!
From gate 709 to taxi service then to Rome centre...how do we accomplish this?
FCO's terminals have boarding areas B through H, with corresponding gates (i.e., gate H19) There is no gate 709 - the highest gate number is 30. After going through 'non-Schengen' passport check, and picking up your bags, you can board outside of the Arrivals level your taxi. Other options: 1. Airport Connection Shuttle between the Airport & all of Rome's hotels at a fixed price (a private taxi costs at least 70 EU). 2. The Airport's train station is in Terminal 3's concourse (leading to H gates), where the Leonardo Express train to Rome runs twice an hour, non-stop, to the main train station 'Termini' in Rome.
I am arriving at Terminal 5. Is there a bus to Civitanova Marche? If so, where is the bus station located and can a reserve a seat in advance?
No flights arrive in Terminal 5. If your are arriving on a US flight it will arrive in Terminal 3. It's very unlikely there's a direct bus considering that Civitanova Marche is quite far away from Rome (and quite small). I recommend taking the Leonardo Express to Rome Termini and then another train from Rome to Ancona and then a city bus to Civitanova Marche.
You can get a bus within a few blocks from Termini. I think that there is now also a connecting service from Terminal 3 to the main departure point mentioned above in Castro Pretorio. See the link below: http://www.startspa.it/linea_roma/roma_ascoli.htm
About how long does it take to clear the airport and get to Termini Station? Arriving via LHR from the US. I know the express itself is 30-35 minutes. How much time should be allowed to clear non-Schlengen customs, etc.? Thanks!
I would guess with walking to the station and clearing immigration, you will arrive at Termini about 2-2.5 hours after your scheduled landing time.
We arrive from Vancouver, Canada via Amsterdam to FCO. What terminal will we be arriving at? We plan to take FR1 train to Trastevere Station. What exit do we go through to find this train? Do we go through customs in Rome? Thank you.
On arrival at AMS you need to go through 'Non-Schengen' line for passport check; Your arrival and departure there depends on your airline. When arriving at FCO, you will exit at 'Schengen' line (domestic) - then proceed to the baggage claim. FCO Airport's train station is located in Terminal 3's concourse leading to the H gates. Sabina-Fiumicino line FR1 run every 15 mins and you can change trains at the following stations: Tiburtina, Trastevere .... I suggest you open www.ifly.com/ams to familiarize yourself with the arrivals/ departures system - click on "Terminal Map" at QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the text. (do the same at www.ifly.com/fco
