Getting Around the Airport
New York Stewart International Airport is located in the Hudson Valley of New York State - Westchester & Orange counties of New York, as well as parts of Connecticut and northern New Jersey. It is situated 60 miles north of New York City.
Aside from its commercial airline service, SWF also offers business travelers private helicopter services to midtown Manhattan.
The terminal building structure at the SWF airport has one main terminal building which houses all airport facilities. It has two main levels.
Airlines serving the main terminal are Allegiant, American Airlines, and JetBlue Airways.
The Lower Level houses the check-in area with baggage claim carousels. It has a Customs area and a security checkpoint. In the Arrival Hall there is a counter for Airport Information. You can find an ATM, restrooms, elevators/escalator, and stairs on this level.
Towards the exit there are Rental Cars and Hotel Shuttles along with Buses. Outdoors towards the north end of the terminal there is a Service Animal & Pet Relief Area.
The Upper Level houses the terminal gate areas. It has gates labelled Gate 1-8.
It has two Mamava Nursing Suites, one each at Gate 2 and Gate 4. Other services include restrooms, elevators/escalator, and stairs.

Food, Shops & Amenities
There are various shopping and dining options inside the airport.
On the Upper Level there is Euro Café between Gates 3 and 4 for dining and Hudson News between Gates 3 and 4 for shopping.
- Passengers are advised to arrive at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time to account for TSA security wait times and any possible delays.
- To ensure a smooth check-in process, passengers should pack carry-on luggage in a suitable manner, have photo ID ready, and read all the airline guidelines properly prior to arriving at the airport.
- No unattended baggage will be allowed inside the terminal building. You must keep your bags with you at all times.
