My parents-in-law will fly from PDX through YVR to PVG, their conecting time at YVR is 3 hrs, do they need Canada Visa? Also, can we ask Air Canada to help them from one gate to the other since they both over 70s and do not know English? Thanks!
What country are they citizens of? What kind of Visa are/were they in the US on?
They are Chinese citizen and using B2 Visa to stay in US. their visa will be expired on the day they leaving US.
I will be coming from Calgary via WestJet to YVR then YVR to Pudong, Pudong to MNL. Do I have to claim my baggages in YVR & transfer to China Eastern or will it all be done in Calgary?
Yes, both Air Canada and Iberia use Terminal 7. Air Canada and Iberia do have an interline agreement. If you purchased tickets together your baggage will automatically be transferred to your Iberia flight, even if you purchased separately you can show your Iberia confirmation to the Air Canada agent in Toronto and ask that your baggage be checked through to Iberia (although they are under no obligation to do so if you purchased separate tickets). Regardless, 2.5 hours should be sufficient if your first flight is on-time.
If you are travelling from victoria to uk, on Air Canada, have all your boarding passes, and have checked your baggage through, would you need to leave the secure area when connecting to flights and be processed through security again.
No, you can just walk to the international departures section of the airport (they will check to see that you have an international boarding pass to be allowed inside).
Dear Sirs, I am flying from US to Germany (1st leg Air Canada, 2nd leg Lufthansa). I have only 50 minutes between flights. I am 10-years US visa holder and Croatian (EU) nationality. Would be this time enough to catch connecting flight?
the YVR website has a good guide on how to do various connections at YVR - http://www.yvr.ca/en/navigating-yvr/passenger-guides/connecting-through-yvr.aspx . You will have to go through passport control, but that's it. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.
