It is recommended that passengers arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.

Albuquerque Sunport Airport offers a TSA PreCheck program for eligible passengers, which allows them to use a dedicated fast track lane for security screening. The TSA PreCheck lane is located at the main security checkpoint in the main terminal. In addition, some airlines offer their own fast track lanes for their premium passengers. These lanes are typically located near the main security checkpoint and are clearly marked.

The passport and immigration control area at Albuquerque Airport is located in the main terminal, near baggage claim. All international passengers must go through this area to have their passports and visas checked before entering the United States. The TSA checkpoint is located in the main terminal, and passengers are advised to arrive at least two hours before their flight to allow enough time for security screening.
