Asheville Airport has one terminal building with two levels. The lower level is where passengers can find baggage claim, rental car counters, and ground transportation options. The upper level is where the airline ticket counters, security checkpoint, and boarding gates are located. There are also charging stations available for passengers to charge their devices before their flights.
Getting Between Terminals
The airport only has one terminal building, so there is no need for passengers to transfer between terminals. However, if passengers need to get to the rental car counters or ground transportation options, they can easily do so by taking the elevator or stairs down to the lower level of the terminal. There are also courtesy shuttles available for passengers who need assistance getting to their rental car or hotel.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
AVL Airport has two security checkpoints located on the upper level of the terminal building. The first checkpoint is located near the Delta Airlines ticket counter, while the second checkpoint is located near the American Airlines ticket counter. Both checkpoints are open from 4:00 AM until the last flight of the day.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
The airport offers a TSA PreCheck lane at both security checkpoints for eligible passengers. Additionally, there is a dedicated Fast Pass lane available for purchase, which allows passengers to bypass the regular security line. The Fast Pass lane is located at the second security checkpoint near the American Airlines ticket counter.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
AVL does not have international flights, therefore, there are no passport or immigration control locations at this airport.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
Asheville Regional Airport has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints to ensure the safety and security of all passengers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible passengers to experience expedited screening at security checkpoints. This program is available for U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents. Passengers who are enrolled in TSA Pre Check can keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and can keep their laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. The TSA Pre Checkpoint at Asheville Airport is located in the main terminal, near the airline ticket counters.
Global Entry Locations
AVL Airport does not have a Global Entry Enrollment Center. However, there are several enrollment centers located within a reasonable driving distance of the airport. The closest enrollment centers are located in Charlotte, NC and Greenville, SC. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. To enroll in Global Entry, travelers must complete an online application and attend an in-person interview at an enrollment center.

Airport Lounge Locations
The airport has two lounges available for travelers: the Delta Sky Club and the American Airlines Admirals Club. The Delta Sky Club is located near Gate 1 in the main terminal, and offers comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and beverages, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The American Airlines Admirals Club is located near Gate 2 in the main terminal, and offers similar amenities, including complimentary food and drinks, Wi-Fi, and shower facilities.
Baggage Claim Areas
AVL has two baggage claim areas located on the lower level of the terminal. Baggage claim area A serves Delta, United, and American Airlines, while baggage claim area B serves Allegiant and Elite Airways. Baggage carts are available in both areas for passengers to use.
Luggage Cart Availability
Luggage carts are available for passengers to use free of charge at Asheville Regional Airport. They can be found in the baggage claim areas, as well as in the parking garage and outside of the terminal near the rental car area. If you need assistance with your luggage, skycaps are available to help you with your bags and can provide a luggage cart if needed.
Luggage Storage Locations
Unfortunately, Asheville Airport does not currently offer luggage storage or left luggage services.
