Tips, Help & Resources

Using the interactive airport maps, iFly.com can help you get through, and between the BLI terminals with ease. Here are some things you may want to know that can assist you during your journey through the airport:

  • If you have some time before your flight's departure, be sure to grab some food to-go or peruse the shops, but be sure to return to the gate before boarding time!
  • How long is the TSA line? Be sure to know how long you will need to wait at the BLI security area closest to your gate.
  • Remember that a great low-cost alternative to parking within the airport facility is to use an off-airport parking lot.  They offer lower costs, a bit further away from the terminals.
  • Bellingham airport periodically adds and removes airlines.  To see which airlines are served by the airport check here.
  • If you have large or heavy luggage to pickup from Bellingham's baggage claim, the airport has baggage carts located near the arrival carousels.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

Bellingham Airport has two security checkpoints located on the main level of the terminal building. The first checkpoint is located near the entrance of the terminal, while the second checkpoint is located near the gates. Both checkpoints are easily accessible and well-marked, with clear signage directing passengers to the appropriate location.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

BLI Airport offers a Fast Track lane for passengers who want to expedite the security screening process. The Fast Track lane is located at the first security checkpoint near the entrance of the terminal. This lane is reserved for passengers who have TSA PreCheck or CLEAR membership, allowing them to bypass the regular security line and go through a separate, faster screening process. Passengers who do not have TSA PreCheck or CLEAR membership can still use the Fast Track lane if they purchase it as an add-on service through their airline or travel agent.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

The airport has a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility located in the main terminal building, near baggage claim. This facility is responsible for processing international arrivals and departures, including passport and immigration control. Passengers arriving from international destinations must go through CBP clearance before exiting the terminal. The CBP facility is open daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm, and passengers are advised to arrive at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow for sufficient processing time.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

BLI has both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints to ensure that passengers can go through security with ease. The TSA Pre Checkpoint is available for passengers who have enrolled in the TSA PreCheck program, allowing them to enjoy expedited screening and avoid the hassle of removing shoes, belts, and light jackets. The TSA Checkpoint is available for all other passengers, and both checkpoints are conveniently located near the main terminal entrance.

Global Entry Locations

Bellingham Airport is not currently a Global Entry location. However, nearby airports such as Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Vancouver International Airport offer Global Entry services for travelers who are enrolled in the program. Global Entry allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States, making international travel a breeze. To enroll in Global Entry, travelers must apply online and complete an in-person interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center.

CLEAR Lane Locations

At Midway Airport, CLEAR offers expedited security screening services to help travelers get through security faster. With CLEAR, you can skip the regular security lines and use a dedicated CLEAR lane, which can save you time and reduce stress. CLEAR Plus lanes are located in the following terminal(s):
