To get from Tegel Airport to your destination:  The Airport is in Zone B and bus stops are outside of Terminals A & B.
A Public transportation information counter 'BVG' is in Terminal A; taxi stands are at TA & TC; (The rental car facility is in front of Terminal D). 
AIRVIS info screens at Arrivals areas of both Terminals A & E, and in the rental car center, now offer current traffic on road network in & around Berlin.  It also posts the quickest way to bus stops & Departures of city buses. 

By Bus:
   Four BVG bus stops
of Berlin Transport Services are located outside of Terminals A & B, while  the coach to Dresden stops near Terminal E's lower level.
Buses connect to train stations of U-Bahn, S-Bahn and Regional Express trains, as well as to long-distance trains. 
   TXL JetExressBus, lines S & U,  serve: Beussel Street;  Main train station, & Alexander Place.  For more bus connections, open: www.vbb.de
X9 JetExpressBus,  Lines S & U,  stops first at Jungfernheide, and ends at the Zoo.
128 Bus,  Line U,  stops at Kurt-Schuhmacher place; Franz-Neumann place, and Osloer street.
109 Bus, Lines S & U, stop at  Jakob Kaiser place; Jungfernheide &  at Zoo.

By Train:

Train Stations 'Sudkreuz' (Southern Cross) or Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Main Rail Terminal) are both only a 30-minute bus ride from Tegel Airport.  From there multiple train connections are available for regional or long-distance travel. For more information open https://www.bahn.de/p/view/index.shtml.
