Getting Around the Airport
The terminal airport structure at the BHM Airport BHM has two levels and three concourses - Concourse A, B, and C. All three concourses of the BHM Airport are adjacent to one another.
The lower level of the terminal building houses the baggage claim carousels with carousel 1-2 for Southwest and United airlines and at a distance carousel 3-4 for Delta and American airlines. Adjacent to these there are the airline baggage claim offices. Other services include US Customs and Border Protection, Airport Operations, Meeting Rooms A and B, and Service Animal Relief Areas.
The upper level houses the security checkpoints leading up to the three concourses. Services on this level include Nursing Rooms, Meditation Rooms, Kidzone Play Areas, and Service Animal Relief Areas.
Concourse A has four gates A4 - A7 and is served by Delta Airlines.
Concourse B has four gates B1 - B4 and is served by American Airlines.
Concourse C has five gates and is served by Southwest at gates C1, C3, and C5, and United at C2 and C4.
Food, Shops & Amenities
There are many options for shopping and dining around BHM airport. Some notable shops and restaurants include Birmingham Brewhouse, CNN Newsstand, and Starbucks in Concourse A
Red Mountain Grill, Hudson News − Vulcan, and Best Buy Express in Concourse B; and Talladega Grille, Ebony Newsstand, and Benefit Glam Up and Away Automated Kiosk in Concourse C.
The security checkpoints at the BHM airport are monitored by the Federal TSA - Transportation Security Administration. All security checkpoints provide access to the concourses and airplane gates.
