BHX Airport Transportation Options

Birmingham International Airport offers a variety of transportation options to get you to your destination. From taxis and ride-share services to trains and buses, you can choose the best way to travel from the airport.

Taxis & Limousines

Private Shuttles & Buses

Ride-Share Services

Ride-share services like Uber and Lyft are available at Birmingham Airport. Pick-up and drop-off locations are conveniently located near the terminal. Use the app to book your ride.

Rental Cars

Rental car facilities are located within the airport. Major providers include Avis, Hertz, and Enterprise. You can find their desks in the arrivals area for easy booking and pick-up.

Public Transportation

The free Air-Rail Link monorail connects the terminal to Birmingham International Rail Station every two minutes. This station links directly to the national rail network.

• Trains to Birmingham New Street run seven times per hour, taking about 10 minutes.
• Hourly services to Central London take approximately 76 minutes.
• Virgin Trains offer three hourly departures to London Euston and two hourly to Birmingham New Street.
• Cross Country provides hourly departures to Manchester Piccadilly and four trains per hour to Birmingham New Street.
• Arriva Trains Wales runs hourly to Shrewsbury, with connections to other destinations.

Bus Services

• Public buses are accessible from the terminal and the Birmingham International Interchange via the Air-Rail Link.
• Bus 900/900A connects to Birmingham and Coventry.
• Bus 966 travels to Erdington and Solihull.
• Bus 97/97A operates 24/7 to Birmingham City Center.
