Getting Around BMI Airport
The terminal at BMI Airport is designed with two levels, featuring a total of nine gates. The layout includes four ground-level boarding gates (Gates 1–4) and five second-level gates (Gates 5–9). This setup allows for efficient movement between gates, especially for those needing to switch between ground and second level gates. Gates 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9 are equipped with jetways, facilitating easy boarding and deplaning directly from the terminal to the aircraft.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The Bloomington Central Illinois Regional Airport has one security checkpoint located on the main level of the terminal. This checkpoint is easily accessible for all passengers and is open daily from 4:00 am until the last flight of the day. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
The Bloomington Central Illinois Regional Airport does not currently offer any fast track lanes for expedited security screening. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers who have enrolled in the program. TSA PreCheck allows passengers to go through a dedicated security lane and keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, as well as leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. The TSA PreCheck lane is located at the main security checkpoint.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
The Bloomington Central Illinois Regional Airport does not have any international flights, so there are no passport or immigration control locations within the airport. However, passengers traveling internationally from nearby airports such as Chicago O'Hare International Airport or Indianapolis International Airport will go through passport and immigration control upon arrival at their destination.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
Bloomington Central Illinois Regional Airport has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints available for passengers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible passengers to receive expedited screening at security checkpoints, which means they can keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. Global Entry Locations
Bloomington Airport does not have a Global Entry Enrollment Center on site, but there are several locations nearby where passengers can complete their in-person interviews. The closest enrollment centers are located in Chicago and Indianapolis. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. To enroll in Global Entry, passengers must apply online and complete an in-person interview at an enrollment center.

Upon arrival at the airport, passengers can easily locate the baggage claim area in the main terminal. The airport has two baggage carousels that are clearly marked and easily accessible. Passengers are advised to check the flight information display screens for the baggage carousel number assigned to their flight. Baggage carts are available in the baggage claim area for passengers to use free of charge.
