Getting Around BDL Airport
BDL Airport features a single main terminal, Terminal A, which is split into two concourses: the East Concourse and the West Concourse. The East Concourse, hosting gates 1-12, accommodates airlines such as Aer Lingus, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, and Sun Country. Meanwhile, the West Concourse, with gates 20-30, serves Air Canada, American, Breeze, and United. This layout helps you pinpoint your airline's gates easily.
For international arrivals, the airport operates the Customs Building, also referred to as Terminal B, which includes one passenger gate. When navigating inside Terminal A, remember that the third floor houses the administrative offices and is generally not accessible to passengers. Here are a few tips to help you move smoothly through the terminal:
- Check the overhead signs for gate and airline information as you move through the concourses.
- Allow some time for walking between the East and West concourses if you have a connecting flight with different airlines.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Hartford Airport has security checkpoints located in each of its four terminals: East Concourse, International Terminal, Main Terminal, and West Concourse. These checkpoints are staffed by TSA agents who are responsible for screening passengers and their belongings before they board their flights. The exact location of each checkpoint can be found on the airport's website or by asking an airport employee for assistance.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Passengers who are looking to speed up the security screening process can take advantage of the TSA PreCheck program. This program allows eligible passengers to use dedicated lanes that are designed to move more quickly than the regular security lanes. The TSA PreCheck lanes are located in each of the four terminals at BDL Airport, and passengers can apply for the program online or in person at one of the airport's enrollment centers.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
The passport and immigration control locations at the airport are located in the International Terminal. This terminal is used for all international flights and is staffed by customs and border protection agents who are responsible for processing arriving passengers. Passengers who are arriving from international destinations should follow the signs to the passport control area, where they will be asked to present their passports and other travel documents before being allowed to enter the United States.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
At Bradley Airport, TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints are available to help expedite the security screening process for travelers. TSA Pre Check allows eligible passengers to enjoy a faster and more efficient screening experience by keeping on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and leaving laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. TSA Pre Check is available at the main security checkpoint in Terminal A. Additionally, there is a dedicated TSA Pre Check lane at the East Security Checkpoint in Terminal B. Travelers can apply for TSA Pre Check online or in person at an enrollment center.

To apply for Global Entry, travelers must complete an online application and schedule an in-person interview at a Global Entry enrollment center. The nearest enrollment center to BDL is located in Windsor Locks, CT.
