Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
CBR Airport has several security checkpoints located throughout the terminal. The main security checkpoint is located on the ground floor near the check-in counters. There are also additional security checkpoints located near the departure gates for domestic and international flights. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time to pass through security.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Fast Track lanes are available for eligible passengers at the airport. The Fast Track lane is located at the main security checkpoint on the ground floor. Eligible passengers include those traveling in Business Class, passengers with elite status in frequent flyer programs, and those who have purchased Fast Track access. Fast Track access can be purchased online or at the airport. The Fast Track lane allows passengers to bypass the regular security line and expedite the security screening process.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passport and immigration control is located on the ground floor of CBR. Passengers arriving on international flights will proceed through passport control after disembarking the aircraft. Passengers departing on international flights will proceed through immigration control before boarding their flight. The airport has several passport control booths and immigration counters to process passengers efficiently. Passengers are advised to have all necessary travel documents ready for inspection by immigration officials.
Airport Lounge Locations
Canberra Airport offers a range of lounges for passengers to relax and unwind before their flight. The Qantas Club Lounge is located on the first floor of the terminal, near Gate 9. This lounge is available for Qantas Club members, as well as passengers travelling in Business or First Class with Qantas or one of its partner airlines. The Virgin Australia Lounge is located on the ground floor of the terminal, near Gate 4. This lounge is available for Velocity Frequent Flyer members, as well as passengers travelling in Business or First Class with Virgin Australia or one of its partner airlines.
In addition to these airline lounges, there is also the Plaza Premium Lounge located on the first floor of the terminal, near Gate 8. This lounge is available to all passengers for a fee, regardless of their airline or class of travel. Baggage Claim Areas
Canberra Airport has two baggage claim areas located in the arrivals hall.
