People With Special Needs / Persons With Disabilities

CLT is fully ADA-compliant.  If you arrive with a care-taker to get you directly through check-in, all the way to the air carrier - the care-taker will need to get a pass at the airline counter, (as well as for your return).

Wheelchairs: Contact your Airline 48 hrs in advance or when making reservations.   Wheelchairs can also be obtained upon arrival through a Skycap.
Assistance Carts:
Contact your airline or Skycap to get via carts to different areas of the terminal.
Passenger Loading Lifts: All airlines have access to motorized lifts for passengers. Terminal to commuter airplane lifts are available on each concourse.
Service Dogs: Contact your airline as to their policy regarding service dogs onboard the aircraft.  Pet relief is outside of the main terminal's baggage claim area (the grassy areas closest to the parking decks)
Telephones: All telephones are wheelchair accessible and most have volume control.
Text telephones (TTY's) are black with white, with the text telephone symbol, at each location. The Airport can also be accessed by TTY, 24 hours a day, (704) 359-4837.
Visual Paging isavailable throughout the terminal. Notify any airline staff to initiate the process.
Accessible Restrooms: All restrooms are accessible, and the restrooms in the atrium/foodcourt allow for side transfers from a wheelchair. Family restrooms are near gtes A6, B4, C7, D5, E5, E15, and at Arrvals/Baggage area, Zones B & E.
Accessible Parking Lots and Decks: Reserved spaces are available in the Hourly Parking Decks and Daily Parking.  Wheelchair accessible ramps are in Daily Parking, near flag poles and in the Hourly Parking Decks.
Accessible shuttle transportation is available to transport disabled passengers to and from Daily Parking.
