Getting Around the Airport
Colorado Springs Airport serves El Paso County and its City of Colorado Springs in the State of Colorado, and is practically located in the center of the United States. With an elevation of 6,200 feet, it provides spectacular panoramic views to Pikes Peak and the Front Range of Colorado, and serves as gateway to tourist attractions, including 14 major ski areas.
Travel time to Colorado City is 25 minutes, to Denver 70 minutes.
Main Terminal
The terminal building structure at the COS airport has one main terminal building which houses all airport facilities. The building has two main levels.
The First Level houses Baggage Claim, Rental Cars, Police, and Lost & Found. Towards the left and right of the Entrance, Arrival & Pick Up area there are Rental Car Counters. Other services and amenities include an ATM, AEDs, Baggage Carts in the baggage claim and shuttle bus terminal drop-off area, USB/AC Charging Ports, Newspaper Vending Machines, and Paging courtesy phones.
The Second Level houses Departure Drop Off and Airline Ticket Counters on either side of the entrance. There is a centralized TSA Security Checkpoint leading up to the terminal gate area. There are 12 airport terminal gate areas. There is a Pet Relief Area near gate 8 and Liquid Provisions near gate 7. Other services and amenities include an ATM, AEDs, USB/AC Charging Ports, Family Care Rooms between Gates 4 and 6 and between Gates 8 and 10, Newspaper Vending Machines, and Paging courtesy phones.

Food, Shops & Amenities
There are various shopping and dining options in the COS airport. For dining there is Novo Coffee, Bristol Taproom, and Pikes Perk. And for shopping there is Jetbox Market, The Springs Marketplace, and The Peaks Travelmart.
Airline Lounges
For all airport passengers there is the Premier Lounge.
Terminal Tips
- Passengers are advised to arrive at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time to account for TSA security wait times and any possible delays.
- To ensure a smooth check-in process, passengers should pack carry-on luggage in a suitable manner, have photo ID ready, and read all the airline guidelines properly prior to arriving at the airport.
- No unattended baggage will be allowed inside the terminal building. You must keep your bags with you at all times.
