Guanajuato International Airport BJX - also known as del Bajio Airport - serves the central Mexican State of Guanajuato and its cities of Leon & Guanajuato. It is managed by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP).
The Airport is not only an important transfer point for flights from Mexico City to the United States, but is an important tourist destination. It is currently Mexico's ninth most important airport due to its rapid growth of low-cost air carriers.
The City of Guanajuato is the cultural capital of the Bajio region - one of the most charming regions of Mexico.
