Getting Around LIS Airport
LIS Airport consists of two main passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 is the larger and primary terminal where you'll find all arrivals and most departures, including flights from major airlines and all intercontinental flights. This terminal includes a wide array of shops and services across its landside and airside areas. It's structured with two check-in halls and a joint departures area that features 47 gates, 17 of which are equipped with jet-bridges. If you're flying non-Schengen, 21 gates are specifically designated for these flights. For gates not equipped with jet-bridges, bus boarding is commonly utilized.
Terminal 2, on the other hand, is significantly smaller and caters exclusively to low-cost carriers. It's located on the southern border of the airport perimeter and is accessible via a free shuttle bus that runs every ten minutes from Terminal 1. Terminal 2 has 22 check-in desks and 15 departure gates, primarily using walk boarding but occasionally buses as well. Facilities here are more basic, with a few shops and service counters available. If you're flying with a low-cost airline like Ryanair or Wizz Air, Terminal 2 will be your point of departure.
When moving between terminals, the free shuttle bus is your best bet. It's efficient and runs frequently, ensuring you can move easily without confusion. Inside the terminals, clear signage and information desks are available to assist you with directions or any inquiries you might have about your flight or the airport's facilities.
