MDE Airport Transportation Options

José María Córdova International Airport offers various transportation options to suit your travel needs. Whether you prefer taxis, buses, or rental cars, you'll find convenient ways to get to and from the airport.

Taxis & Limousines

At MDE, taxis are a reliable option. Fares are regulated by the government, so you won't encounter hidden fees. Tipping is optional. Taxis are available outside the arrivals area, making it easy for you to find a ride.

Private Shuttles & Buses

Private shuttles and buses provide services to and from the airport. You can catch a mini-bus to the corner of Carrera 50A and Calle 53. The fare is around US $2, and the trip takes about 45 minutes. This service is frequent, ensuring you won't have to wait long.

Ride-Share Services

Ride-share platforms like Uber and Cabify operate at José María Córdova Airport. Pick-up and drop-off locations are typically near the arrivals area. Use their apps to book a ride, and follow the signs to the designated ride-share zones.

Rental Cars

Rental car facilities are located within the airport. Major providers such as Avis, Hertz, and Localiza offer a range of vehicles. You can find their counters in the arrivals hall. Contact details are available on the airport's official website.

Public Transportation

Public buses run between the airport and Medellin city center. The bus stop is outside the terminal's arrival level. Baggage is stored at the back of the bus; you'll receive a number to claim your bags upon arrival. Once the bus is full, the driver collects the fare, and the journey begins.

Accessibility & Additional Services

MDE Airport provides accessibility services, including wheelchair assistance and moving walkways. Hotel shuttles are available for select accommodations. Short-term parking is also offered for those picking up or dropping off passengers.
