The airport has one security checkpoint located on the first floor of the terminal building. The checkpoint is easily accessible from the main entrance and is open 24 hours a day. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

SJT does not currently offer fast track lanes for expedited security screening. However, passengers with disabilities or medical conditions may request special assistance from the TSA at the security checkpoint.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

San Angelo Regional Airport does not have international flights and therefore does not have passport and immigration control locations. All flights departing from and arriving at the airport are domestic flights within the United States.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

San Angelo Airport has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints available for passengers. TSA Pre is a program that allows expedited screening for low-risk travelers, meaning you can keep your shoes, belts, and jackets on, and your liquids and electronics in your carry-on. To use TSA Pre, you must apply and be approved for the program beforehand. The TSA checkpoint at SJT Airport is located near the entrance to the terminal, and is open daily from 4:30am to 6:00pm.

Global Entry Locations

The airport does not have a Global Entry Enrollment Center on site, but there are several locations nearby where you can apply for Global Entry. The closest enrollment center is in San Antonio, which is about a 2.5 hour drive from the airport. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States. To apply for Global Entry, you must complete an online application, schedule an interview at an enrollment center, and pay a fee. Once approved, you can use Global Entry kiosks at participating airports to bypass the traditional customs and immigration process.
