Getting Around HND Airport

HND Airport is organized into three passenger terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 3. Terminals 1 and 2 are primarily for domestic flights, while Terminal 3 handles most international flights. For ease of movement, a free inter-terminal shuttle bus operates on the landside, connecting all terminals. Additionally, Terminals 1 and 2 are linked by an underground walkway, making it convenient to move between these two terminals without having to go outside.

Terminal 1, known as the "Big Bird," features a central area with a six-story shopping and dining complex, conference rooms, and a rooftop observation deck. The terminal has gates 1 through 24 for jet bridges and gates 31–40 and 84–90 for ground boarding by bus. Terminal 2, which also boasts a six-story shopping and dining area, includes the Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu and an open-air rooftop restaurant. It has gates 51 through 73 for jet bridges and additional gates for ground boarding. Terminal 3, primarily for international flights, includes lounges operated by several major airlines and has gates 105–114 and 140–149 for jet bridges, with gates 131 through 139 for ground boarding.

For travelers needing to navigate between terminals, the inter-terminal shuttle bus is a reliable option, running frequently to ensure minimal wait times. Additionally, clear signage and information desks located throughout the airport can assist with directions, making it straightforward to find your way around. Whether you are transferring between domestic flights or moving from a domestic to an international terminal, HND Airport's infrastructure supports a smooth and efficient transit experience.
