Venice Marco Polo Airport VCE is gateway for millions of tourists heading to the famous city of Venice, Italy. 

NOTE:  During Treviso Airport's closure between October 4 and 18, its  flights wil be directed to Venice Airport, which is 30 km from Treviso Airport, reached by shuttle bus.  

Venice Marco Polo Airport is located in Tessera on the Italian mainland and is only 8 km north of the City of Venice, which is surrounded by the Laguna Venata and is connected via the causeway Ponte de la Liberta (SR11) to the main land. On the mainland the airport can be reached via two main arteries, the A27 and the SS14.
The Airport is connected to the close-by railway station of Venice-Mestre and the Bus Terminal of Venice-Piazzale Roma by scheduled buses, and to Piazza San Marco by water taxi.

With two long runways and 12.2 Million passengers in 2016, Venice Marco Polo Airport is served by a large number of domestic and international airlines (including Delta,  United & .S. Airways), as well as charters, offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe.

The passenger terminal at Venice Airport has three levels. Each level has its own services & amenities. Ample shopping facilities range from the souvenir shop to the most upscale establishments with brand names known all over the world, and restaurants offering a taste of Italy. To make your stay in Venice most enjoyable, a selection of travel agencies will point you to the right direction. Free WiFi is available throughout the terminal.
The ground level is for arrivals and includes the Hospitality Desk 2, Venezia Tourist counter, baggage claim, lost baggage desk, lost baggage storage room, bank ATMs, currency exchange, post office, rental car counters, Café Marco Polo, and access to check-in area A, desks 63-91 through door A, and check-in Area E desks 92-99 through door E. Transportation desks (forpublic & automated tickets of the Venice water-taxi consortium), Delta Customer Care & ticket desk, EasyJet customer office; a Hospitality desk, travel agents, Lost & Found, Left baggage, and a food store. Arrivals exit at door C.
    Level 1 is the check-in level,
with check-in counters C1-62 (divided into check-in counters 38-62, with centralized Security check, and check-in counters 13-37 and 1-12, with North Security check). From entrances F - L, you can reach Flight Information, ticket desk /tour opeator; Bank & ATM, tax refund, mailbox, internet points, charging point leading to check,  a Hub Magazine & Gift shop. For food there is L'Orto & Culto Caffe.
After security check you find an abundance stores and duty-frees,  some restaurants, and access to the boarding area.
The airline gates are divided at
 -  east of center by gates 19-20, 17-18, 33-34 , 5-16, 31-32;
 -  west of center by gates  13-14, 29-30, 11-12 & 9-10
    Level 2  houses offices for airlines and SAVE (the airport operator); the Tintoretto (Alitalia) VIP Lounge for Sky Team passengers' the Marco Polo Club; Business Center Travelex, Copax room and some , restaurants and stores.
Rental Car offices are in the Parking Garage P1 on level 3.  For rental car returns take your entry ticket and proceed to level 3.

Current and future Aiport developments:  Marco Polo Airport's ongoing redevelopment  - part of its  €500 million investment program - includes  expansion & renovation of its airport-wide facilities. Phase 1 of the project has been completed in June 2017 - and included a 280m-long plaza which features a dramatic gridshell roof offering light-filled space.  
  - Phase 2A: As of Oct. 2017, of the terminal expansion is under design work. It is to include an additional 49,000 sq.meters with new security facilities, check-in desks, new gate lounges, boarding bridges, retail areas, food court, new baggage handling system, and more. Phase 2A is to be completed by 2025.
  - Phase 2B (final terminal configuration in line with masterplan) - will triple the current terminal surfaces - to be completed by 2027.
