With an estimated 700K passengers annually, and with three runways, SBA Airport is served by major airlines offering direct flights to hub airports throughout the US, with worldwide connections.
The passenger terminal at Santa Barbara Airport - called the 'John Rickard Terminal', an environmentally-friendly 'green building' with LEED rating - offers more efficient airline check-ins, baggage claim are, centralized services, more comfortable seating areas, improved concessions, and great ambiance.
Ground level 1 - the Check-in and Arrivals level - houses ticketing desks are at the right and baggage claim at left, the center leads elevators/excalators to level 2 and the observation terrace.
Level 2 - the Departures level - houses the security checkpoint, a restaurant,& gift shop in the boarding area and airline gates 1 - 5.
Amenities and services inside the passenger terminal include free Wi-Fi access, an Ambassador program (volunteers help you get around the airport and answer inquiries), self-check-in kiosks, restaurat, coffee shop, & Cafe /Gift shop/newsstand, ATM machines, vending machines, and pay-on-foot station.
