IAH Airport Transportation Options
Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH) offers a variety of transportation options to help you reach your destination. From taxis and ride-shares to public transportation and rental cars, you'll find several ways to travel from the airport to the city and beyond.
Taxis & Limousines
Taxis are readily available at IAH. You can find them outside each terminal on the arrivals level. Limousine services can be booked in advance, providing a more luxurious travel option. For more information, you can contact local taxi services directly.
Private Shuttles & Buses
- SuperShuttle: Shared-ride service available at Terminals A, B, C, and E. Call 713-523-8888 for reservations. Walk-up service is available, but booking in advance is recommended. Follow signs to 'Ground Transportation' for pick-up locations.
- Hotel Shuttles: Courtesy vans for hotels and motels can be requested using courtesy phones in the baggage claim area. Pick-up is outside the baggage claim at the arrivals level of Terminals A, B, C, and E.
Ride-Share Services
Ride-share services like Uber and Lyft operate at Houston Intercontinental. Pick-up and drop-off locations are designated outside each terminal. Use the app to request a ride and follow the signs to the ride-share area for your terminal.
Rental Cars
Rental car facilities are located at the Consolidated Rental Car Facility. Shuttle buses transport passengers from the terminals to the rental car center. Major providers include Avis, Budget, Enterprise, and Hertz. Contact your preferred provider for more information.
Public Transportation
- METRO Bus 102: Provides service from Terminal C to downtown Houston. Buses run every half hour. The fare is $1.25, payable in cash with exact change. The ride can take up to 1.5 hours.
- Transfer to Houston Hobby: Take METRO Bus 102 to downtown, then transfer to METRO Bus 40 to reach Houston Hobby Airport. Each leg costs $1.25.
Train Services
While there are no direct train services from IAH, Houston has three train stations located at:
- 1608 Bissonnet St.
- 7934 Westview Drive
- Amtrak - HOS at 902 Washington Ave.
Accessibility & Additional Services
IAH provides accessible facilities for travelers with disabilities, including wheelchair services and moving walkways. Hotel shuttles and parking shuttles are clearly marked and easily accessible. Short-term parking is available near each terminal.
