Huntsville Airport (HSV) Terminals
Airport Terminal Layout
Huntsville Airport, also known as Huntsville International Airport, has a single terminal building that houses both domestic and international flights. The terminal is divided into two levels, with the lower level dedicated to baggage claim and ground transportation, while the upper level handles check-in, security, and boarding areas.
Overview of Terminals
The terminal at HSV Airport is modern and spacious, with plenty of amenities and services for travelers. Passengers can find a variety of dining and shopping options, including local and national brands. The airport also offers free Wi-Fi, charging stations, and comfortable seating areas throughout the terminal. Additionally, there are several lounges available for travelers who want to relax or work in a quiet environment.
Getting Between Terminals
Since the airport has only one terminal building, there is no need to transfer between terminals. All flights, regardless of their destination or airline, depart and arrive from the same terminal. However, if you need to move between the upper and lower levels of the terminal, there are escalators and elevators available for your convenience.
Food, Shops & Services
HSV is a small airport, but it still offers a variety of food and shopping options for travelers. There are several restaurants and cafes located throughout the airport, serving a range of cuisines from fast food to sit-down dining. Whether you're looking for a quick snack or a full meal, you'll find something to satisfy your hunger at Huntsville Airport.
In addition to food options, Huntsville Airport also has a number of shops and amenities for travelers. There are several gift shops and newsstands where you can pick up souvenirs, books, and magazines. If you need to do some last-minute shopping, there are also convenience stores where you can purchase snacks, drinks, and other travel essentials. Other amenities at the airport include free Wi-Fi, charging stations, and a business center.
while HSV Airport may not have as many food and shopping options as larger airports, it still provides travelers with everything they need to make their journey comfortable and convenient. So whether you're arriving or departing, be sure to take advantage of the amenities available at the airport.
Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
HSV has two security checkpoints located on the upper level of the terminal building. The first checkpoint is located near the entrance to the concourse, while the second checkpoint is located near the entrance to the gate area. Both checkpoints are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the safety and security of all passengers.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Fast Track lanes are available for passengers who want to expedite the security screening process. These lanes are located at both security checkpoints and are accessible to passengers who have TSA PreCheck or CLEAR membership. The Fast Track lanes allow passengers to bypass the regular security lines and move through the screening process more quickly.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passport and immigration control at Huntsville Airport is located on the lower level of the terminal building. All international passengers must pass through this area before entering the United States. The passport and immigration control area is equipped with modern technology to ensure the efficient processing of passengers. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport early to allow sufficient time for passport and immigration control procedures.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
At Huntsville Airport, there are TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints available for passengers. The TSA checkpoint is located on the second floor of the terminal, near the ticket counters. Passengers are required to remove their shoes, belts, and jackets, and place all items in bins for screening. Liquids must be in containers of 3.4 ounces or less and placed in a clear, quart-sized bag. Electronics larger than a cell phone must be removed from carry-on bags and placed in a separate bin for screening. TSA Pre Check is available for eligible passengers, allowing them to go through a faster, expedited screening process. Passengers who are members of TSA Pre Check can keep their shoes, belts, and jackets on, and can leave liquids and electronics in their carry-on bags.
Global Entry Locations
Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. At HSV Airport, there is a Global Entry Enrollment Center located on the first floor of the terminal, near baggage claim. This center is open by appointment only, and travelers must apply and be approved for the program before scheduling an appointment. Once approved, travelers can use the Global Entry kiosks located at participating airports to complete their arrival process. This program can save travelers time and hassle when returning to the United States from international travel.
