MCI Airport, with the airport code MCI, has three terminals: Concourse A, Concourse B, and Concourse C. Concourse A has 20 gates, Concourse B has 19 gates, and Concourse C has 25 gates. Major airlines such as Delta, American Airlines, and United Airlines operate from all three terminals.

When arriving at the airport, follow the signs to the appropriate terminal for your airline. Once inside the terminal, check the flight information displays to find your departure gate. If you need assistance, there are information desks located throughout the airport.

Security checkpoints are located at each terminal, so be sure to allow enough time to get through security before your flight. If you have time before your flight, there are a variety of dining and shopping options available throughout the airport.

Use our interactive airport map to locate food, services, and airline departure gates.

Connecting Between Terminals

The airport has three concourses: Concourse A, Concourse B, and Concourse C. To get between the terminals, there are several options available. The terminals are connected by a free shuttle bus that runs every 10-15 minutes. The shuttle bus stops at each terminal and the journey takes approximately 5-10 minutes. Alternatively, passengers can walk between the terminals using the covered walkways, which are located outside the baggage claim area. The walk time between terminals is approximately 10-15 minutes.

For passengers who have a connecting flight, it is recommended to check the flight information screens upon arrival to determine which terminal your next flight departs from. This will help to ensure that you have enough time to get to your next flight. Additionally, passengers can use the airport's mobile app to track flight information and receive notifications about gate changes and delays.

Picking Up and Dropping Off Passengers

At MCI, passengers can be picked up and dropped off at the curbside of each terminal's arrivals level. However, curbside parking is restricted to active loading and unloading only. Drivers must remain with their vehicle at all times and are not allowed to leave their car unattended. Violators may be subject to fines or towing.

For those waiting to pick up arriving passengers, there are cell-phone waiting areas located near each terminal. These areas provide a convenient location for drivers to wait until their passenger has arrived and is ready to be picked up. Once the passenger has collected their luggage and is ready to be picked up, drivers can proceed to the curbside for active loading and unloading.

It is important to note that MCI Airport has three terminals, Concourse A, Concourse B, and Concourse C. Drivers should confirm which terminal their passenger will be arriving at before proceeding to the airport to ensure a smooth pickup process.

Parking Facilities & Options

Travelers flying out of the airport have several parking options to choose from. The airport offers both covered and uncovered parking options in its parking garages and lots, with over 25,000 parking spaces available. The parking garages are located within walking distance of the terminals, making them a convenient option for those who prefer to park on-site.

For those who want to wait for their arriving passengers, the airport provides a cell phone waiting area located near the airport entrance. This area allows drivers to park for free and wait until their passengers arrive before heading to the terminal.

Handicapped parking is available in all parking areas at the airport, with designated spaces located close to the terminal entrances. Shuttle buses with wheelchair lifts are also available to transport passengers from the parking lots to the terminals.

Off-airport parking is also available near KC Airport, offering a more economical option for travelers. These parking facilities offer shuttle service to and from the airport, with some even providing additional services such as car detailing and oil changes.

Flight Status Info

As an air traveler, it's essential to stay updated about the status of your flight, especially if there are any delays, cancelations, or gate changes. Fortunately, there are several ways to get flight status information at MCI Airport.

One of the easiest ways to check flight status is by using the in-airport flight displays (FIDS) located throughout the terminals. These displays provide real-time updates on flight departures, arrivals, and gate information. Simply locate the display board and find your flight number to view the latest information.

Another convenient way to stay informed about your flight status is by using airline mobile phone apps. Most airlines have their own apps that allow passengers to check flight status, receive alerts about any changes, and even check-in for their flight. You can download the app for your airline from the App Store or Google Play Store and sign up for notifications via text, email, or push notifications.

Lastly, passengers can check the status of their flight departure at the airport by visiting the flight departures page on, which provides real-time updates on flight departures, delays, and gate information.
