Airport Terminal Layout at Kansas City Airport
MCI Airport has three main terminals, Concourse A, Concourse B, and Concourse C. Each terminal has a unique layout and amenities, making it easy for travelers to find what they need.
Overview of Terminals
Concourse A is primarily used by Delta and Southwest airlines, and it has 21 gates. This terminal has a variety of restaurants and shops, including a Starbucks and a Burger King. Concourse B is used by American and United airlines, and it has 22 gates. This terminal also has several dining options, including a Kansas City BBQ restaurant. Concourse C is used by Alaska, Allegiant, and Frontier airlines, and it has 11 gates. This terminal has a limited selection of dining and shopping options.
Getting Between Terminals
Travelers can easily get between the terminals at the airport by using the free shuttle service. The shuttle runs every 10-15 minutes and stops at each terminal. There is also a walkway that connects Concourse A and Concourse B, which can be a quicker option for those who don't mind walking. Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Kansas City Airport has several security checkpoints located throughout the airport. The main security checkpoint is located on the upper level of Terminal B, near the entrance to Concourse B. There are also additional security checkpoints located near the entrances to Concourse A and Concourse C. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Fast Track lanes are available for passengers who are members of TSA PreCheck or CLEAR. TSA PreCheck members can use the dedicated TSA PreCheck lane at the main security checkpoint in Terminal B. CLEAR members can use the CLEAR lane at the same location. Both TSA PreCheck and CLEAR members can also use the dedicated lanes at the security checkpoints in Concourse A and Concourse C. These lanes allow members to bypass the regular security lines and go through security screening more quickly.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passport and immigration control is located in the Federal Inspection Services (FIS) area of Terminal B. This area is only accessible to passengers arriving on international flights. After disembarking from their flight, passengers will follow signs to the FIS area, where they will go through passport control and customs. Once they have cleared customs, they will be able to collect their luggage and exit the airport.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
At Kansas City Airport (MCI), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) operates security checkpoints to ensure the safety of all passengers. TSA Pre-Check is also available for eligible passengers, allowing them to go through expedited security screening. To be eligible for TSA Pre-Check, passengers must apply and be approved through the TSA Pre-Check program. Once approved, they can enjoy the benefits of faster security screening, including not having to remove shoes, belts, and light jackets, and keeping laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags.
Global Entry Locations
For international travelers, MCI Airport (MCI) offers Global Entry, a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Global Entry kiosks are located in the international arrivals area of the airport. To be eligible for Global Entry, travelers must apply and be approved through the program. CLEAR Lane Locations
CLEAR is a service that allows travelers to bypass long security lines at the airport. With CLEAR, you can skip the traditional ID check and head straight to the security screening process. CLEAR Plus lanes are located in the following terminal(s):

Airport Lounge Locations
the airport offers several lounges for travelers to relax and unwind before their flights. The American Airlines Admirals Club is located in Concourse D and offers comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and beverages, and free Wi-Fi. The Delta Sky Club is located in Concourse C and offers similar amenities, including a full bar and shower facilities.
The United Club is located in Concourse A and offers a variety of seating options, including private workstations and a quiet room for those who need to get some work done. The lounge also offers complimentary snacks and beverages, as well as free Wi-Fi. Additionally, the Priority Pass Lounge is located in Concourse B and is accessible to members of the Priority Pass program, offering comfortable seating, snacks, and beverages.
Baggage Claim Areas

The cost to rent a luggage cart is $5, and payment can be made with cash or credit card. Passengers can return their carts to any designated cart return location throughout the airport.

Kansas City Airport does not offer luggage storage facilities for passengers. However, there are several options available nearby.
