Taxis to the City center take betwen 10 & 20 minutes. White vans take you to the Old San Juan Cruise Ship Piers - a 45-minute transfer. 

Public AMA Buses: (NOTE: no large baggage - only carry-on's are allowed onboard the buses)
  - To San Juan take the B-53 Bus (taking 40 - 60 minutes) - The bus stop is on the upper departure level of Terminals A & D, marked with sign "Parada" & departure times.
  - To Old San Juan bus station (near Cruise Ship Pier 4):  Take Buses B40 or C45 to the next stop of 'Isla Verde' and switch to the A5 bus.
  - in San Juan a ferry service is at Pier 2, across the bay to Catano.

AMA Buses From SJU Airport to:
Isla Verde - take bus 40 or 50, then transfer to bus 5 or 53;
Condado (Asford Avenue area) - take bus 40 or 50, then transfer to bus 53;
Old San Juan - take bus 40 or 50, then transfer to bus 5 or 53.

from Condado to SJU take bus 53 eastbound, then transfer to bus40 or 50
from Old San Juan to SJU  take bus 5 or 53, then transfer to bus 40 or 50
from Isla Verde to SJU take bus  or 53 eastbound, then transfer to bus 40 or 50
