Manhattan Regional Airport MHK serves its owner - the City of Manhattan - and its County of Reily, in the State of Kansas, U.S.A.
Manhattan Regional is located off Route 18, on 5500 Skyway -about 5 miles from Manhattan, and serves commercial and FBO purposes. It is also gateway to the Kansas State University*.
With two runways, and an estimated total of 1M passengers annually (arrivals & departures), Manhattan Regional (a primary commercial service airport) is currently served by American Eagle, which offers several daily flights to the two major hubs of Chicago O'Hare (ORD) and Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) with great connections to all points of the globe.
Manhattan Regional Airport has a new passenger terminal - recognized by its waivy roof and glass walls. It is opposite of the air tower and has adjacent to it, at its left side, the FBO facility. While most of the passenger terminal has been completed, there is still some work to be done. Currently, only Vending machines offer food & drink - a restaurant is to be added later.
Incoming Soldiers: (a) in Transition: tel. 795-240-514; (b) in need of transport to Fort Riley: tel. 785-239-2119
Shuttle buses are available to the City, as well as taxis & rental cars.
* Kansas State University students 2016: Shuttle minibus 'aTa' is available at the Airport to the KSU campus. NOTE: All arriving international students need to undergo a secondary inspection at the U.S. Airport they first arrive at - meaning that their connecting flight to Manhattan Regional needs to be departing at least 2 to 3 hours later!
Parking: Until completion of ongoing construction work, there are two temporary parking lots available: Gravel east (one-way traffic, angled parking) and Gravel Wes.
