Getting Around the Airport
The passenger terminal complex at the Melbourne Airport has four airport terminals:
The domestic airline(s) serving at Terminal 1 include Qantas airline.
The ground floor of this terminal is for domestic baggage reclaim. Baggage carousels 1-4 are located in the centre of this level, near which there is a service desk. Behind the service desk is where oversized baggages are claimed. There are 2 ATMs between baggage carousels 2 and 3. Outside, there is the Arrivals Drive, Qantas valet parking, Bus rides to the Long term car park (LTCP), and a pedestrian walkway.
The first floor of this terminal is for check-in and departures. There are 02 ATMs located near the check-in counters. Two elevators take passengers to the Mezzanine or Ground floor, and outside is the Departures drive.
The mezzanine level houses all the domestic gates (Gates 1-4, 6-12, 21-28, and 30) and lounges. ATMs can be found at either wings of this level, and there is a Medical Centre included here.

The international airlines serving at Terminal 2 include Aircalin, Air Canada, Air China, Air India, Air New Zealand, Capital Airlines, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, China Eastern, China Southern Airlines, Emirates, Etihad, FIJI Airways, Garuda Indonesia, Hainan Airlines, Japan Airlines, Jetstar, LATAM, Malaysia Airlines, Phillipine Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Brunei, Scoot, Sichuan Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Srilankan Airlines, Thai, United Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Australia, Xiamen Air, Malindo Air, CEBU Pacific, Air Vanuatu, and Asiana Airlines.
The ground floor of this terminal is for international baggage reclaim. Baggage carousels 1-8 are located in the centre of this level, and oversized luggages are handled at carousels 2 and 3. Jetstar Service Desk and Australian Customs are located across from baggage carousel 8 and Menzies Baggage Services are situated across from baggage carousel 7. Across baggage carousel 4, 5, and 6 there is a Tourist Information Desk. Travelex Worldwide Money is operating to offer currency exchange services on this level across from baggage carousel 1. This level also includes an ATM and a Prayer room behind the staff area near baggage carousel 1.
The first floor of this terminal is for check-in and departures, as well as houses all the gates (Gates 2-12, 14-16, 19, and 20) and lounges. Travelex Worldwide Money is operating to offer currency exchange services on this level. Other services and amenities include ATMs, Medical Centre, and Airline lounges.

The domestic airline(s) serving at Terminal 3 include Australia airlines.
The ground floor of this terminal is for domestic baggage reclaim. Baggage carousels 1-3 are located here, and oversized luggages is handled at carousel 2. There is an Accommodation Booking Service and an ATM located near baggage carousel 1. Other services and amenities include a prayer room and elevators / escalators from the aircraft gates.
The first floor of this terminal is for check-in. It houses check-in counters M and N and two ATMs.
The mezzanine level houses all the domestic gates (Gates 1-10) and lounges. It consists of several ATMs, the Virgin Lounge, and a security checkpoint.

The domestic airlines serving at Terminal 4 include Air North, Alliance, Jetstar, Regional Express, and TigerAir.
The ground floor of this terminal is for check-in and baggage reclaim. It consists of several ATMs, the airline lounges, a Medical Center, and a security checkpoint.
The first floor of this terminal is for departures and arrivals and houses the terminal gates (Gates 11-20, 30, and 41-52). There is a Customer Service Desk near Gate 12, security screening, and several ATMs on this level.

Food, Shops & Amenities
There are many options for shopping and dining around the MLB airport. Some notable shops and restaurants include Grinders Coffee, Amcal Pharmacy, and Newslink in Terminal 1; Bar Pulpo, Grill'd Healthy Burgers, and Middle Ground by Shane Delia in Terminal 2; Able Baker Charlie, Crafty Cup, and WHSmith in Terminal 3; and WHSmith, McDonald's, and Quikshots in Terminal 4.
The airport also offers a Tax Free Luxury shopping option for international passengers. These Luxury shopping stores are located inside Terminal 2 international departures in the post-security area. Shopping brands include: Tiffany & Co., Burberry, Salvatore Ferragamo, Max Mara, Emporio Armani, Watches of Switzerland, Bally, Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, Furla, and Tumi.
The security checkpoints at the MLB airport are monitored by the Federal Government's Strengthening Aviation Security Initiative. Only passengers possessing tickets are allowed to proceed beyond any of the security checkpoints. All security checkpoints provide access to the concourses and airplane gates.

For domestic passengers there are 03 airline lounges: Qantas (The Qantas Club) inside Terminal 1 on the first floor, Virgin Australia (Virgin Australia Lounge) inside Terminal 3 on the mezzanine floor, and REX (The REX Lounge) inside Terminal 4 on the ground floor at Gate 30.
For international passengers there are 06 airline lounges, all located inside Terminal 2. On the first floor you will find the airline lounges for Cathay Pacific (Cathay Pacific Lounge), Qantas (The Qantas Club), Singapore (Silver Kris Lounge), and Air New Zealand/United Airlines. On the second floor there is the Emirates Lounge and the AMEX Lounge.
There are also other airline lounges which are open to all passengers and do not require any membership. All three of them are located inside Terminal 2: Marhaba Lounge, Plaza Premium Lounge, and The House.
International Arrivals & Transfers
International Arrivals and Transfers are monitored by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Expedited Entry is granted to low-risk passengers and members of the Global Entry Program via two self-service kiosks available at the airport.
The International Arrivals Building of the IAD Airport is located inside the Main Terminal near the baggage claim carousel 15 exclusively for International Arrivals. The doors located between Baggage Claims 4 and 12 are for passengers who have already gone through the Custome’s clearance at the country of origin.
- Arrive 90 minutes before flight time in case of domestic flights, and two hours before flight time in case of international flights.
- Print your boarding passes beforehand or use electronic boarding passes to save time
- Get all information regarding baggage sizes, airline schedule, curbside pickup/dropoff, or wheelchairs, prior to reaching the airport
- Ground transportation options at the airport include: Taxis, Chauffeur/Hire cars, Rideshare Apps, and Buses and shuttles (Skybus - city express/Car park shuttle buses/Public buses/Regional & charter buses)
