Getting Around PTY Airport
Tocumen International Airport features two main terminals: the Northern Terminal and Terminal 2. The Northern Terminal includes 12 gates, 10 moving walkways, and an extensive commercial area. Terminal 2, on the other hand, boasts 20 boarding gates and 8 remote positions. Both terminals are designed to handle a large volume of passengers efficiently.
To navigate between the terminals, travelers can utilize the clearly marked signage throughout the airport. Moving walkways in the Northern Terminal make it easier to cover longer distances quickly. Security & Screening

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Panama City Airport has several security checkpoints located throughout the airport. The main security checkpoint is located on the ground floor of the terminal, near the check-in counters. There are also additional security checkpoints located at each gate, where passengers are screened before boarding their flights. It is important to arrive at the airport with enough time to go through security and reach your gate before your flight departs.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Passengers who are looking to expedite their security screening process can take advantage of the Fast Track lanes at PTY Airport. These lanes are available to passengers who have purchased a Fast Track pass or who are traveling in Business or First Class. The Fast Track lanes are located at the main security checkpoint on the ground floor of the terminal and at each gate. These lanes allow passengers to bypass the regular security lines and get through security quickly and efficiently.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passport and immigration control at the airport is located on the second floor of the terminal, after security. All passengers arriving in Panama must go through immigration control, where their passports will be checked and stamped. Passengers who are arriving from certain countries may also be required to have a visa to enter Panama. It is important to check the visa requirements for your specific country before traveling to Panama. Once you have gone through immigration control, you will be able to collect your luggage and proceed to the airport exit.
