Bellingham Waterfront Trails
Waterfront trails and public access to the waterfront are a key part of many Port of Bellingham developments. Public waterfront trails wind around the entire Bellwether on the Bay development and connect with waterfront trails throughout Squalicum Harbor and much of the waterfront along Roeder Avenue.
Zuanich Point Park
Squalicum Harbor's park at the point. This popular waterfront park is the venue for community events, boating celebrations, picnics, outstanding kite flying, jogging and rollerblading. The park includes Squalicum Boathouse, a popular community meeting rental facility, and the Fishers' Memorial.
Marine Park
A waterfront park, linking a nationally acclaimed trail system. Marine Park is located in Fairhaven near the Bellingham Cruise Terminal. It features a picnic shelter, accessible facilities and a beautiful stretch of waterfront.
Tom Glenn Common
A waterfront park and plaza at the premier Bellwether on the Bay development on Bellingham Bay near Squalicum Harbor. It includes waterfront trails and an amphitheater for outside community events.
Blaine Public Fishing Pier
A beautiful wooden pier park at the end of Marine Drive, the Blaine Public Fishing Pier is a pristine location to eat lunch and watch boats come and go from Blaine Harbor and Semiahmoo. New waterfront promenades and trails link this pier to historic downtown Blaine.
Marine Drive Trail
A small roadside park on Marine Drive near the Bellingham International Airport with walking and equestrian trails overlooking Bellingham Bay and San Juan Islands. Coast Millennium Trail
The Port of Bellingham joined with many other organizations in working toward the creation of the Coast Millennium Trail. The route is approximately 50 miles long, beginning in the Colony Creek area of northwestern Skagit County and extending to White Rock B.C. Much of the trail incorporates existing roads and multi-use trails. Several Port properties are included in the border-to-border route, including Maritime Heritage Park, the waterfront at Squalicum Harbor to Little Squalicum Beach, and as far north as Drayton Harbor in Blaine. The trail links to the Port's existing Marine Drive Trail and parking area near Bellingham International Airport, providing an outstanding island/bay view along the CMT between Bellingham and Birch Bay. Development on the west side of the Bellingham International Airport will include trails and interpretive areas through some of the wooded and wetland areas. These trails will be linked to the Coast Millennium Trail.
