Cape Town International Airport offers various transportation options to get you to your destination efficiently. Here's a guide to help you choose the best mode of transport.

Taxis & Limousines

For a convenient taxi service, you can contact Touch Down Taxi at +27 (0)21 919 4659. They offer metered taxis that can be found outside the arrivals area. Limousine services are available through various private providers, which can be booked in advance for a more luxurious ride.

Private Shuttles & Buses

Public shuttle buses operate between Cape Town Airport and various destinations in the Western Cape. They depart from the international inner lane. Two main services are available:

• MyCiTi Shuttle: Part of the MyCiTi bus rapid transit system, this service runs every 20 minutes between the airport and the Civic Center bus station at Hertzog Blvd. Contact them at 0-800 56 463 or visit capetown.gov.za/mycity for more details.

Ride-Share Services

Ride-share platforms like Uber and Bolt are available at Cape Town Airport. Pick-up and drop-off locations are typically located in designated areas outside the arrivals terminal. Use the app to book your ride and follow the signs to the ride-share pick-up point.

Rental Cars

Rental car facilities are conveniently located within the airport. Major providers include Avis, Hertz, and Europcar. Their desks are situated in the car rental area, accessible from the arrivals terminal. It's advisable to book in advance, especially during peak travel times.

Public Transportation

The MyCiTi bus service offers a reliable option for public transportation. Buses run every 20 minutes and connect the airport to Cape Town's Civic Center. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Check the MyCiTi website or contact their helpline for schedules and routes.

Accessibility & Additional Services

Cape Town International Airport is equipped with facilities to assist passengers with reduced mobility, including wheelchair services and moving walkways. Hotel shuttles are available for select accommodations, and short-term parking options are located near the terminals for quick pick-ups and drop-offs.
