Getting Around STL Airport

STL Airport features two terminals with distinct gate areas and amenities. Terminal 1 houses 36 gates spread across Concourses A and C, while Terminal 2 contains 18 gates within Concourse E. If you need to transfer between terminals, you can use the Terminal Shuttle Buses or the Metro rail system, which offers free rides between the terminals.

To navigate within Terminal 1, follow the signs directing you to Concourses A and C. This terminal also includes an American Airlines Admirals Club and a significant USO facility for military personnel and their families. Terminal 2, on the other hand, is more compact with all gates located in Concourse E, and it features a public lounge operated by Wingtips. For international travelers, Terminal 2 handles all flights without border preclearance.

For efficient movement within the terminals, pay attention to the clear signage and information displays. If you require assistance, customer service desks are strategically located throughout both terminals. Additionally, the airport provides various amenities, including dining and shopping options, to enhance your travel experience while you wait for your flight.

St. Louis Airport has several security checkpoints located throughout both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. In Terminal 1, passengers can find security checkpoints near gates A2, C2, and E2. In Terminal 2, security checkpoints are located near gates E10 and E33. It is recommended that passengers arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time to pass through security.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

Passengers who are looking to expedite their security screening process can take advantage of the TSA PreCheck program, which allows eligible passengers to use dedicated screening lanes and avoid removing their shoes, belts, and light jackets. The TSA PreCheck lanes are available at all security checkpoints in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Additionally, STL Airport offers a Fast Track program for a fee, which provides access to dedicated security lanes and expedited screening. The Fast Track lanes are located near the main security checkpoints in both terminals.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

Passport and immigration control at the airport is located in Terminal 2. After arriving on an international flight, passengers will proceed to the passport control area, where they will present their passport and other required documents. After passing through passport control, passengers will proceed to the baggage claim area to collect their checked luggage. Once they have their luggage, passengers will proceed to the customs area for inspection. After clearing customs, passengers will exit the terminal and proceed to ground transportation or connecting flights.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

At Lambert Airport, TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints are available to help expedite the security screening process for travelers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows pre-approved travelers to go through a faster security line, without having to remove shoes, belts, or light jackets. To use TSA Pre Check, travelers must apply and be approved for the program ahead of time. In addition to TSA Pre Check, there are also standard TSA checkpoints available for all travelers.

Global Entry members can use automated kiosks to complete their customs declaration and biometric scanning, which can save time and hassle when returning from international travel. To apply for Global Entry, travelers must first complete an online application and schedule an in-person interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center, such as the one located at Lambert St Louis Airport.

CLEAR Plus lanes are located at Terminal 1, Checkpoints A and C, and Terminal 2, Checkpoints E and F.
