Airport Terminal Layout
PVG Airport has two main terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 is the older terminal and mainly serves domestic flights, while Terminal 2 is the newer and larger terminal that handles both domestic and international flights. Both terminals are connected by a shuttle bus service and a pedestrian walkway.
Overview of Terminals
Terminal 1 at the airport has three floors and 28 gates. It mainly serves domestic airlines, including China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, and Juneyao Airlines. The terminal has a variety of restaurants, shops, and lounges for passengers to enjoy while waiting for their flights.
Terminal 2 is the larger and more modern terminal at PVG. It has four floors and 90 gates, serving both domestic and international airlines. Some of the airlines that operate out of Terminal 2 include Air China, Delta Air Lines, and Emirates. The terminal is also equipped with a variety of amenities, including restaurants, shops, and lounges.
Getting Between Terminals
Passengers can travel between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Shanghai Pudong Airport by taking the shuttle bus service or walking along the pedestrian walkway. The shuttle bus service runs every 10-15 minutes and is free of charge. The pedestrian walkway is located on the third floor of both terminals and takes approximately 15-20 minutes to walk between the two terminals.
