Getting Around the Airport
Myrtle Beach Airport is a county-owned public-use airport in the United States. It is operated by the Horry County Department of Airports.
MYR is located three nautical miles (6 km) southwest of the central business district of Myrtle Beach, in Horry County, South Carolina, United States.
Main Terminal
The terminal building structure at the MYR airport has one main terminal which houses all airport facilities.
It has three levels:
The parking level has 6 parking options: short-term parking, long-term parking, two economy parking, valet parking, and cell-phone parking lots. Services and amenities on this level include Rental Car Lot, rental car facilities, rideshare and taxi pick up areas as well as hostel shuttle puck up area.
The lower level houses the Baggage Claim, Baggage Service Offices, and Ticketing counters. At the very centre there is an Airport Information counter and a Myrtle Beach Information area. Services and amenities on this level include a Cash-to-Credit counter and an ATM for the passenger’s banking/money needs. There is also a Quiet Room and self-service kiosks, along with a TSA security check and waiting area. Towards the exit there is pick-up entrance, ticketing entrance, and baggage claim entrance. Elevators and escalators as well as restrooms are located throughout this level.
The upper level houses an Airport Information counter at one end of this level and a Sitting Area on the other end. Services and amenities on this level include an ATM, Pet Relief Area, and Mamava Lactation Suite. Male/female restrooms are located throughout this level.

Food, Shops & Amenities
There are various shopping and dining options inside both levels of the airport.
On the lower level there is Boardwalk Cafe and Cinnabon.
On the upper level there is Subway, Chik-Fil-A, and Pavilion Bar & Grill for dining along with other options. A few shopping options include three Hudson shops.
Terminal Tips
- Passengers are advised to arrive at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time to account for TSA security wait times and any possible delays.
- To ensure a smooth check-in process, passengers should pack carry-on luggage in a suitable manner, have photo ID ready, and read all the airline guidelines properly prior to arriving at the airport.
- No unattended baggage will be allowed inside the terminal building. You must keep your bags with you at all times.
