Guest Services at Albany ALB Airport
The Information Center (tel. 518 242-2200 / 2299) is located on the first level of the terminal between the ticket and baggage claim areas. It is staffed by representatives of the Albany County Convention and Visitors Bureau and is open weekdays 6am-11pm &weeks 7am-11pm, and provides paging services, flight information, directions, ground transportation, bus tickets, newspapers, pamphlets for tourist attractions and hotels.
Trained Airport ambassadors roam the airport (recognizable by their burgundy blazers with the logo 'Ask Me, I'm Here to Help'.)
'Departure' is a shop of Capital Region Museums - carrying hand-created gifts from over 60 regional museums & cultural institutions. Location: on level 1 of terminal, between Ticketing & Baggage Claim.
The Airport Lost and Found office is located in the Operations Center on the first floor of the terminal. Individual airlines and the Transportation Security Administration also operate their own Lost and Found offices. The Airport Lost and Found office can be reached at 518 242-2357. You may find that it is convenient to submit an on-line Lost and Found report form. We will contact you if we have located your misplaced item in the Airport lost and found. This is only for the ALB lost and found. You will need to contact the individual airlines if you think your missing item might be with one of them. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) operates its own Lost and Found Center. If you believe you may have left something behind at the Alban y TSA Checkpoint, please contact the local TSA Coordination Center at 518 452-4247. International Travelers at Albany ALB Airport
The Customs office is located in a separate building located just to the east of Concourse-C. Customs inspectors staff the office from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day and on an as-needed basis 24-hours a day.
Customs inspectors check passenger identification, citizenship, visas, foreign purchases and cash or negotiable instruments valued at over $10,000. Officers also inspect pilot certificates and aircraft registrations.
In order to have a Customs Officer present to provide inspection services, Customs must be notified at least two hours in advance of arrival time at the Albany International Airport. Albany is an "international airport" or "airport of entry" and permission to land is not necessary. It is the pilot’s responsibility to notify Customs or an incoming flight. Notification may be made by any means including ADCUS message in the flight plan through the FAA. Pilots may also communicate directly with Customs at 1 518 431-0200, 1 800 973-2867 or 1 407 975-1740.
